Future Gossip 9
Hey guess what…I’m back! Only this time, I’m on the other side of the ropes!

Let’s get one thing straight to begin this off with. I was never meant to become a permanent MC, it just kinda happened as at the time FCW management did not have the opportunity to try out possible full time MC’s. I stayed on as I loved FCW, but with other responsibilities, it was sometimes proving to be difficult.

I’ll also admit I was not the greatest on the mic. I’d never done anything like that before, hell, I can only attempt karaoke if I’m blind drunk, so getting up in front of hundreds of fans not even tipsy each month was completely nerve wracking.

So after taking some time away to sort out various things, I began to realise just how much I was missing FCW. Not just FCW, but the fans too, I’d made some great friends during my time behind the mic, I knew it was time to make a return, though in the best capacity you can have, and that is being there just as a wrestling fan.

With that in mind, I think it’s time that Future Gossip got back underway -

Oh My God, How much have I missed? You can read about the shows on the web, but being there in person is a different thing altogether. And I couldn’t have chosen a better show to return to than the debut show at JB’s. The spotlight on the ring in the dark and damp surrounding of the venue was so atmospheric I was lapping up every second of it. Better still was being able to shout abuse at the lads after all this time. Hanging out with fans who have hardly ever missed a show was a blast. Yet nothing could beat the fact that I was able to completely mark out! When Carl Mizzery used my empty beer can as a weapon I couldn’t stop jumping for joy.

It was reassuring to see just how confident and committed my replacement Kri$ Godsize was as MC too, and just how much fun he seemed to be having. And how dapper does he look in those suits?

One factor that really stood out though was the new girl on the block. I had no idea that Kelli was such a little minx! Not only did she look the part, she played the part. I didn’t think Damien Grant would be able to even attempt to wrestle after Kelli had finished draping herself all over him! Better was to come when she took a viscous shot to the head from a steel bin, all in honour of her man. What a gal. Gotta admit, I’d always had a soft spot for Damien Grant. Never really understood why he associated himself with a loud mouth like Saul Adams, I mean, how can you take a man seriously who glows in the dark with so much fake tan covering his upper body?

A few weeks later we were treated to the return of the annual Ring Warrior Tournament at Baggeridge. It felt very strange walking back into Baggeridge, but so much fun to see so many familiar faces. I knew this night was going to be fun, four loud girls and drinks in front of us, let the battles commence, We heckled all night, especially taunting Referee Ross, yelling we want Joel constantly with so many others, god I didn’t realise how much fun that was.

The best moment of the night had to be when pictures of a very young and small framed Celt Kennedy were passed around the building. As soon as his music hit, a whole wave of pictures were held up for all to see. I was laughing so much I had tears in my eyes. Even better than Mizzery using my beer can was Bouncer grabbing one of the posters and teasing Celt in the ring. Excellent. A whole new event worthy of the Olympics has been invented in my opinion.

The matches were brilliant and flowed flawlessly all night. Mizzery pinning Kevin O’Neil as soon as the match begun made my night. I’d hoped he’d win. He seemed to wrestle all of his three matches as if his life depended on it. I really think he’s gonna go a long way.

Speaking of O’Neil, it was interesting to see Brandon Thomas as a member of PL4Y, even more interesting was that he appeared to have been a member all of his life. I wonder if they will get a fourth member though? 3 Play just doesn’t have the same ring.

One person I hope doesn’t become the fourth member is Laken Xander. What the hell has happened to make him become so twisted? I still hope he’ll come back to his senses and make it up to his former tag partner A-Star Athlete. I mean Laken was one of the best fighting champions that FCW has seen. Why Laken WHY?

Saul Adams didn’t seem that bothered that his partner Damien Grant wasn’t in attendance. He seems to be more concerned with getting hold of the gold that is currently around the waist of the Bouncer. Personally I think the belt will clash with his ‘glow’ but he seems determined to take it to the Bouncer. I’m wondering whether he can actually overpower the champion on his own, or whether he’ll be looking to the corner post when it starts getting tough. The Bouncer has taken on challengers big and small during his reign. One credit I will give to Saul is that he is not afraid to put in extra hours at the gym to ensure he is in the best shape of his life. This along with the adrenalin running through him may just make Saul Adams a very serious contender to take the title away on the night.

Next up we have Halloween Hell back at Baggeridge on October 29th. Wouldn’t you just love it if they had another Halloween battle royale again. I know I would. Hope to see you all at the next show!

Love
Emerald
