Well I’m back at last with another Future Gossip. What a show we had at Baggeridge in August, the venue was packed to the rafters and in certain matches it was certainly all about Redemption.
It was good to see some trainees having a shot on the cards again and I was very impressed with the young Alex Graves, though it was a bit intimidating to see such a mean streak in one so young. I fear that he may have been listening to Brett Banner ramblings backstage, especially when Banner snapped back to one youngster in the audience during his match “You should try being evil, its fun.”
Speaking of Banner, I almost began to like him last month can you believe. Still suffering the effects of a very nasty concussion, his tag team partner Staxx was clearly still not fit to return to the ring. When said concussion began to rear its ugly head, Banner was very visibly distressed and actually genuinely concerned about his partner. There and then I felt myself warming to him. Only slightly mind, those eyes just creep me out wayyyy to much.
Of course, that all vanished this month when he was pitted against fan favourite The Bouncer who had all the kids screaming and yelling for him as always. When things can change so quickly from one day to the next it’s good to see The Bouncer remains as consistent as ever. Both men fought a brutal match in more ways than one, but thankfully the Bouncer came out on top.
Breaking News! FCW’s own TomKat have split up! The pairing of ‘Ladies Favourite’ Damien Grant and Kelli are no more! After her conspicuous absence last month she turned out last night once more with her man as he accepted the challenge laid down by Tomcat Kevin O’Neil and Brandon Thomas. As Damien had failed to find a partner, names were drawn at random. First of all Rob Hunter’s name was called out and the crowd went wild. Head Referee Joel Allen rushed back to bring out Rob but he wasn’t there! So another name was pulled, this time Trish Stratus! The guys were besides themselves, but again, Joel came back empty handed. The next name pulled out was Hollywood Hulk Hogan! By now Joel looked like he was going to explode! But no Hulk Hogan. Then music hits and out comes British Born Steel who is still hot about losing the belts unfairly and asks Damien to let him step in as his tag partner.
So the match is on and the PL4Y members control the match from start to finish. Kelli cheers on Damien and BBS and tries to help out but gets knocked off the ring apron for her efforts. With Kelli lying prone on the ground Damien ignores a tag from BBS and goes to check on Kelli instead. It looked like it was all over at that point but Damien got back into the match. Just as it appeared that he had things going his way he caught sight of a courier bringing Kelli yet more flowers. Distracted PL4Y capitalised and rolled him up for the pin.
As they left the ring triumphant Kelli and Damien stood facing one another and Damien demanded to know who was sending Kelli all these flowers and called them out. All was silent until Kelli snatched the mic out of his hands and screamed “It was me! I was sending the flowers!”
A shocked and silent crowd awaited his response but Kelli didn’t let up and she told him in no uncertain terms how she was fed up of Damien Grant losing month after month. To add insult to injury she joked how on earth could he get someone like her and told a gob smacked Damien Grant that she had just used him to get into the wrestling business. Kelli wanted to be with winners not losers. Enter stage left PL4Y who attacked Damien from behind. Kelli then proudly removed their tag belts and held them up high announcing with feeling “Yeah baby!”
So the original TomKat have officially split, but she’s left him for another Tomcat! Go figure! Who knows what to expect off Kelli now. I have to say I was surprised. I had a sneaky feeling that the flowers were off Saul Adams and that he was trying to taunt his former tag partner, but boy was I wrong. Just how devious can women be! This is certainly going to be one event to keep watching though; I can’t wait for the follow up! I just hope Damien Grant is going to be able to keep it together with losing Kelli. Just in case; ladies, forget the men sitting by your sides next month and make sure you cheer for Damien Grant and let him know that we all still love him!
Well, my head is still swarming from the show so I’m going to chill out now with a nice cold glass of wine. Hope to see you all this Sunday for ‘Endurance’, and spread the word of FCW, especially with the first ever super show coming up on Saturday 10th November at Kidderminster Glades Arena…but more on that next time…
Peace, love and cocktails,
